FAQ & Application Guide

How to apply Second Skin

Apply only on clean, completely dry, matte skin. Cut a piece 2–3 cm larger than the tattoo. Smooth from centre outward and press edges firmly to seal.

First layer: wear for 24 hours. Second layer: apply after washing, wear 5–6 days.

Why won’t it stick?

• Lotion, oil or balm residue on the skin
• Sweat or warm skin after shower/exercise
• Dirty or dusty skin
• Plasma build-up not wiped clean before application

Applying on Fingers, Hands & Knuckles

Apply with fingers slightly bent; use two overlapping pieces rather than one large piece. Keep these areas as dry as possible — they commonly lift early due to movement.

Applying on Feet & Ankles

Do not wear tight or closed shoes for 24–48 hours if possible. Round the edges of the film to reduce lifting. Do not apply to warm or sweaty feet.

Applying on Ribs, Chest & Stomach

Apply while the client is standing to avoid folds; use larger sheets or two overlapping sheets for curves. Avoid tight garments over the area for 24–48 hours.

Removing Second Skin

Remove under warm running water; peel slowly from the edges and wash gently with tattoo-safe wash. Pat dry and lightly moisturize with Skinergy Balm.

Normal things to see under the film

• Ink or plasma pooling
• Mild redness & tightness
• Wrinkles/creases from movement

Aftercare after removing the film

Continue normal aftercare for 3–4 weeks: wash daily, moisturize with Skinergy Balm, avoid sun (use SPF once healed), avoid pools, and avoid tight clothing or friction.
