FAQ

I want a tattoo but I’m on a limited budget. How do you determine pricing?
Prices are based on size, colour & detail. We charge extra for any changes, additions etc. If you're on a budget you can advise us and we will do our best to work within your price range or alternatively we can offer you a payment plan.

Do you also tattoo in color?
Yes we do. If you're design already has colour we quote based on that. If you'd like to add colour a extra fee is charged or we charge per ink cup. Colors can be changed to clients preferences.

Do you sell all the aftercare products I’ll need?
Aftercare products are available for purchase at an additional fee, this can be arranged when your booking is made. Contact our artist for pricing or refer to our site for more info.

How does group discounts work?
If 10+ people book for a tattoo a discount will be given depending on the total tattoo amount booked.

Why do I have to pay a 50% deposit?
We require clients to secure bookings with a deposit as your design, stencil and equipment for your tattoo/piercing is prepared prior to your appointment, and we ensure there is sufficient time for your tattoo/piercing to be done on your selected day and time, unfortunately this is non-negotiable and a deposit is required. No final designs or bookings can be made prior to your booking being secured.

Can I be under the influence of alcohol, narcotics etc for my tattoo/piercing?
No, drinking and the use of narcotics(not all of them, but prevention is better than cure) before and after getting a tattoo is a no-no. It thins your blood, which means excess bleeding. When you bleed more than normal, it can cause visibility issues for the artist, potentially compromising the quality of the design. Excess bleeding can also thin the ink. When getting pierced you will bleed excessively as well.

Do you send designs before I book or after and what is the cost? How does it work?
If you'd like to see the design/sketch before officially making a booking, we charge a design fee, which is then deducted off your total amount if you go ahead with the booking. We don't make any adjustments on this design after sending it to you.
If a booking is secured(50% non refundable deposit) without a design being required before hand, we start working on the design once your booking is secured and then we send it to you for approval and any adjustments needed prior to your appointment.
Our design fee is R350 if you'd like the design before booking. When going ahead with the booking, the R250 is deducted off the quoted amount.
Remember you are paying for the artist's time, skills, labor, equipment to do the design etc.
N.B if the design has alot of detail or is an intricate design, we do reserve the right to charge a higher design fee that will be deducted off of your total quoted amount once your booking is secured.

Why is a house call area dependent and a call out fee charged?
Call-outs are area dependent as some areas are too far out for us to travel for a tattoo/piercing due to time, distance, tattoo/piercing value and will cause us to charge a hefty call out fee to cover fuel, maintenance on vehicle/s and accommodation if need be. The artist will invest a good share of time out of their schedule to travel and visit your home as well as preparing the equipment, stencil, design etc to ensure everything goes smoothly. The call-out fee also covers a small portion of the value of their time to travel to you and all the vehicle-related expenses such as fuel, maintenance etc. The amount is charged separately on top of tattoo/piercing costs.
