We are open to genuine barter proposals in exchange for tattoos or piercings only. Barter is an opportunity to propose a mutually beneficial exchange — it is not a guarantee that an offer will be accepted.

What do you receive?

Accepted barter arrangements may be exchanged for an agreed tattoo or piercing. The exact service, size, placement, jewellery and any other inclusions must be agreed before the booking is confirmed.

How to make an offer

Please send us exactly what you are offering, quantity/specifications/condition where applicable, normal retail or market value, what you want in exchange, your business/social page if applicable, and photos, proof of purchase or other relevant information.

Our acceptance process

Every barter offer is reviewed individually. We may accept, decline or make a counter-offer. We are not required to accept an offer because it is useful to us, because an advertised value is provided, or because a customer believes it is equal in value.

Barter value is determined by us based on the actual item or service, condition, usefulness, market value and the tattoo or piercing requested. Inflated valuations, unrealistic trade values or attempts to substitute a lower-value item or service for a higher-value tattoo or piercing will not be accepted.

Inspection & testing

Items are not automatically accepted when they are offered or brought to the studio.

Jewellery, electronics and other testable items will be inspected and tested for all relevant functions, condition, authenticity and usability before we agree to accept the barter.

Where applicable, testing may include electronic functions, charging, battery condition, connectivity, screens, cameras, speakers, buttons, ports, damage, faults, missing components, jewellery condition, authenticity, completeness, model numbers, specifications and included accessories.

We may request proof of purchase, additional information or other evidence before accepting an item. We will not knowingly accept stolen, counterfeit, illegal or unlawfully obtained goods.

Services and skills

Services offered as barter must be clearly defined before acceptance, including what is included, quantity, duration, deliverables, timing and additional costs. If the agreed service is not provided as agreed, the barter arrangement may be cancelled or the outstanding value may become payable through our normal payment methods.

Value must be agreed upfront

The barter exchange must be agreed in writing before the tattoo or piercing is performed, and before we provide any product or service forming part of the exchange.

If the agreed barter does not cover the full value of the tattoo or piercing, the difference must be paid using an approved payment method. A barter offer does not automatically entitle either party to a cash refund or cash difference.

If the agreed barter is worth more than the tattoo or piercing, no cash difference will be paid unless a separate written agreement has been made before the booking.

What is included?

Only what is specifically agreed is included. Designs, design revisions, specialist work, jewellery upgrades, aftercare products, Second Skin, travel or house-call fees and other extras are not automatically included unless confirmed in writing beforehand.

Our normal booking rules still apply

Barter clients remain subject to our normal tattoo and piercing requirements, including applicable age restrictions, consent requirements, health and safety requirements, studio policies and booking rules. Where a deposit is required, the applicable deposit may still be required. A barter arrangement does not automatically waive our booking policies.

Changes, cancellations & incomplete exchanges

• Changing the offer after acceptance may result in cancellation or renegotiation before any work is performed.
• Barter arrangements are not transferable unless we agree otherwise in writing.
• If a promised item, product or service is not supplied as agreed, the tattoo or piercing may be cancelled, postponed or converted to normal pricing.
• We may decline any barter offer, item, service or proposed exchange.

No assumptions

Bringing an item to the studio does not guarantee a tattoo or piercing.

Offering a service does not guarantee acceptance.

A stated retail price does not automatically equal barter value.

Nothing is considered agreed until we have confirmed the barter arrangement and exact exchange in writing.
